Children's Paradise has always been a happy paradise for children. In Malaysia, there will be a park in every region, and there will be many children's play facilities in the park, so whenever it is evening and school holidays, there will be many children playing in the park the sound of. However, in recent years, many facilities in the park have been damaged, resulting in greatly reduced safety for those children's facilities.

Current Situation

There are many parks in Malaysia that lack maintenance, resulting in many hidden dangers in children's facilities. The following are news about the safety of children's amusement facilities :

According to a report published by Sin Chew Daily on May 29, 2023, children’s facilities in the Malacca area have been severely damaged and have not been repaired for a long time, so whether it is slides, swings or seesaws, none of them are safe. At that time, councilors went to regional parks and found that there were dangers everywhere in children's facilities. If a naughty child continues to play, it can cause serious injury or even life-threatening.

Future Vision

Children's play facilities are the closest playground to children. If children are injured because of the safety issues of these amusement facilities, no matter what the amusement facilities are in any area, parents will not rest assured to let their children play, and children will also lose a chance to play in their free time. So I think that in the next 30-40 years, any district councilor can pay attention to the safety of children's facilities in the park, which can reduce injuries to children and improve parents' confidence in the safety of children's facilities.

Solution

1. Strengthening safety standards for children's play facilities

In the future, the government can formulate stricter safety standards and specifications for children's facilities, and the government can require manufacturers of amusement facilities to follow the safety standards for children's facilities.  For example, stronger and more durable materials must be used for children's facilities and proper and safe installation and maintenance procedures must be followed.  In addition, they must also carry out regular inspection and maintenance of the facilities, because many hazards are due to negligent maintenance, regular inspection and maintenance can greatly reduce the danger of children's facilities.

2. Strengthen education and awareness training for children by elders, parents or guardians

In addition to paying attention to the safety of children's amusement facilities, we should also pay attention to the education and awareness training of children by elders, parents and guardians. We can provide relevant training for parents, teachers and guardians, so that they can When children are playing on children's amusement facilities,  Teach them how to play correctly, which can improve children's safety knowledge and allow them to avoid danger.

3. Available in kid-friendly designs

I think the design of amusement equipment in the future can keep pace with the times, because there will definitely be many better materials in the future that can make children's facilities stronger and safer.  Designers of children's facilities should consider children's characteristics and needs for child-friendly design. In addition, designers must also do their best in terms of reinforcement and protection, such as protective fences around children's facilities and the stability of amusement facilities.

Reflection

I have been to parks in many areas, and I have found that many children's facilities are damaged in many ways. I think this is a place that needs to be paid attention to, because I think every child is a pillar of the future, and children's physique will be different. Weaker than teenagers and adults, so high safety must be achieved on any children's items and amusement facilities, so as to prevent children from being injured in any way.
